To celebrate Heritage Days 2026, Paris La Défense and Westfield Les 4 Temps-CNIT have put together a wonderful program of 21 free guided tours to help you (re)discover the neighborhood’s treasures—from its history, architecture, and art to its green spaces and major development projects in the La Défense district.

Once you’ve settled in and survived the back-to-school rush, it’ll be time to make the most of the end of summer with a cultural stroll through the La Défense neighborhood. So mark your calendars and book a spot on a guided tour—it’s free!

There will be something for everyone thanks to these exceptional tours of Europe’s leading business district—from exploring an iconic office tower or a major development project to unique tours that will appeal to fans of photography, gardening, or immersive historical experiences…

Friday, September 18, 2026:

1 tour of the Légende Tower, for those curious about high-rise buildings;
1 tour with our photographer to discover all the neighborhood’s unique and Instagram-worthy spots (bring your camera!);
1 tour slot with a tour guide who will weave together history, architecture, and art.

Saturday, September 19, 2026:

5 tour slots with a tour guide to learn more about the neighborhood’s history, architecture, and works of art;
1 tour with the green spaces project manager from Paris La Défense to discover the secrets of the area’s parks and gardens;
1 tour with our photographer to spot all the neighborhood’s unique and Instagram-worthy spots (bring your camera!);
2 tours of Westfield CNIT, accompanied by an actor portraying General de Gaulle, to immerse yourself in the postwar years and (re)discover the history of this iconic building, the first structure built in La Défense.

Sunday, September 20, 2026:

6 guided tour slots with a tour guide to learn more about the neighborhood’s history, architecture, and works of art;
1 tour with the project manager of the Park, a 5-hectare green space project that will transform the La Défense esplanade by 2028;
2 tours of Westfield CNIT, accompanied by an actor portraying General de Gaulle, to immerse yourself in the postwar years and (re)discover the history of this iconic building, the first structure built in La Défense.

A unique heritage

La Défense is a neighborhood unlike any other in France. With its 60 towers—including The Link, the tallest in the country—it offers a remarkable panorama of contemporary architecture in the heart of Paris’s historic center.
A true open-air museum, the neighborhood is home to more than 60 monumental works of art by renowned artists such as César, Calder, Miró, and Takis. Leading architects have also left their mark here, making La Défense a hub of innovation and creativity.
In recent years, the neighborhood has also undergone a transformation to offer a more pleasant living environment. Thanks to tree planting, the development of parks, and the creation of gardens, nature is playing an increasingly important role, helping to refresh public spaces and improve the comfort of residents, employees, and visitors.
