A word about the artist
Born in Argentina in 1930, Julio Silva has lived in Paris since 1955. An artist, painter and sculptor, he is also a collector of African and primitive art. His style is unmistakable for its ability to shape marble like finely polished pebbles, whose grace and lightness make them so beautiful. He watches out for, and enters into a dialogue with, this cold, mineral material, from which springs the vital movement that refers to the unconscious.
