Gender Equality Index for Women and Men

Professional equality between women and men is a core commitment of Paris La Défense's social policy. Since its creation, the organization has been committed to ensuring equal opportunities in terms of training, career development, and remuneration.

On February 14, 2023, Paris La Défense reaffirmed this ambition by signing an agreement dedicated to professional equality, the promotion of diversity, and the improvement of quality of life at work. This agreement reinforces and complements the actions already undertaken.

The law requires companies to measure their professional equality situation each year using this index, which consists of five indicators:

•    the pay gap between women and men;
•    the gap in rate of increase;
•    the gap in promotion rates;
•    the percentage of female employees receiving a raise upon their return from maternity leave;
•    gender parity among the 10 highest paid employees.

In accordance with this transparency requirement, Paris La Défense has published its 2026 index, calculated for the year 2025, which scores 99 out of 100 (compared to 93/100 for the 2024 period). The detailed results for each indicator are as follows:

•    Pay gaps: 39/40
•    Increase rate gaps: 20/20
•    Promotion rate gaps: 15/15
•    Increases upon return from maternity leave: 15/15
•    Parity among the highest paid: 10/10.

This score, which has never been achieved since the establishment was founded, once again reflects the proactive approach and concrete actions taken by Paris La Défense to promote professional equality since 2018.
