Gender Equality Index for Women and Men
Professional equality is at the heart of the social policy implemented by Paris La Défense, which ensures equality between women and men in terms of training, career development and remuneration.
On February 14, 2023, a new agreement relating to professional equality between women and men, the promotion of diversity and quality of life at work was signed in order to complement and strengthen the actions already implemented by the establishment.
At the same time, the legislation requires companies to measure their gender equality situation each year by calculating an index. This equality index is made up of five indicators: pay gaps, gaps in the proportion of women and men receiving raises, gaps in the proportion of women and men promoted, percentage of female employees receiving raises upon returning from maternity leave, and parity among the 10 highest-paid employees in the company.
In accordance with the transparency obligations set by law, Paris La Défense publishes its 2025 index, calculated for the period 2024, which amounts to 93 points out of 100 (93/100 for the period 2023) and broken down by indicators as follows:
- Pay gap indicator: 38/40
- Gap in pay raise rate indicator: 20/20
- Gap in promotion rate indicator: 15/15
- Return from maternity leave indicator: 15/15
- High pay indicator: 5/10.
This result once again reflects the approach and actions initiated in terms of equality by the Establishment since its creation in January 2018.
