Estrand

Estrand

Artist: Eva Nielsen (1983)
Creation date: 2026
Installation date: 2026
Technique: photography

Located in the heart of the Corolles district, the work Estrand comes to dress the exit of the parking lot of the same name, which is between the restaurants Le Bistrot à Vin and Les Copains Toqués.

The entrance is now covered with a landscape that transforms this place of passage into a visual and poetic experience. The shades of blue, pink and yellow inspire a universe as realistic as dreamlike. The effects and textures disturb the perception of the image and give the spectator the sensation of a memory that dissipates. The experience continues on the walls and ceiling of the entrance. The name of the work is directly inspired by the foreshore, a strip of land that unfolds at low tide, a moving natural space, which appears and disappears. This work invites passersby to slow down and take a few moments to dream.

A word about the artist

Eva Nielsen is a French-Danish artist, born in 1983. She lives and works in Paris. Over the years, she quickly became a major figure of the French contemporary scene. In 2025, she was nominated for the Marcel Duchamp Prize.

His art is known for bringing together different visual media. Painting, photography and screen printing are mixed, transformed, blended and superimposed to create, most of the time, landscapes or infrastructures in mutation. His creations blur the points of reference and perception of those who observe them.
