A word about the artist

Born in 1941 in Civitavecchia (Rome), Gualtiero Busato moved to Paris with his family in 1949. Introduced to the art of sculpture by his father, a renowned art founder, he developed a very free, baroque and restless personal style, featuring characters in perpetual flight from their destiny. Some of his works can be seen at the Museum of Modern Art in Madrid and at the Centre Georges Pompidou. In 2001, his work was awarded the Simone and Cino del Duca Foundation Sculpture Prize.
