This 250-meter-long mural is located on the third basement level of the Michelet parking garage, in the neighborhood of the same name. Named “Les Frontispices” by its creator, Elsa Tomkowiak, it accompanies visitors from the moment they enter until they leave the parking garage, immersing them in a colorful, lively, and contrasting journey. This monumental, horizontal, panoramic painting is a veritable chromatic gradient inspired by the light spectrum, shifting from cool tones to warmer shades, from sky blue to flamboyant red, thus forming a continuous loop. These bright colors contrast with the gray surroundings and make it easier to identify the 10 parking garage access doors, each associated with a different color. Finally, the variations punctuate the viewer's experience and are revealed through a subtle interplay of matte, satin, and glittery surfaces, which can be perceived depending on the viewing angle, the light, or its speed.
