Emblematic of its artistic approach, OakOak in Paris La Défense hijacks the geometry of a ventilation duct to transform it into a whale. Underlining both the importance of protecting endangered spaces and the need to reinforce the place of nature in urban spaces, Whale Street's presence in the Saisons district is a playful and humorous reminder of the need to preserve biodiversity.

A word about the artist

Since his first stencils in 2006, the ephemeral works of OaKoAk (pronounced "wak wak") have captured the imperfections of streets and walls, playing with them to divert them. OaKoAk uses object installations, collages and drawings. Graffiti, which he does less of, is often reserved for his signature. Urban details are scanned by his mischievous mind and mischievously staged. A Monopoly square in the middle of a Chicago street, a Modern Times Charlot in front of a building's exposed machinery, staircases transformed into pianos, parrots in Paris garbage cans, not to mention the little men who play acrobat on the elements of the city...
