Jardin Suspendu

Adress : 57 jardins Boieldieu - 92800 Puteaux

Located opposite the Franklin Tower, to the east of the Terrasses Boieldieu, the Jardin Suspendu, inaugurated in 2019, is home to the second Community garden in the Boieldieu district, bringing the number of Community gardens at La Défense to 3.

The site combined a number of assets, such as an unobstructed view of Paris and the La Défense towers, the calm of a space set back from the main thoroughfares, a terrace and a multifunctional garden with an ideal exposure to take advantage of the sun and develop varied plantings (perennials, shrubs, small trees). Following a process of co-construction to imagine this garden as a place for exchange and sharing, here are the selected components:

A biodiversity observatory

The old fence and its surroundings have been reinvented as a space for circulation (wooden path accessible to people with reduced mobility) and a playful observatory of biodiversity, with a support for climbing plantations.

A vegetable garden

A space for meeting and sharing, the vegetable garden is accessible to members between the two fences. The plot can be extended to cover the whole area as the seasons change.

A landscaped setting

The ressourcerie is an ecological reserve, access to which is reserved for gardening events organized by Paris La Défense.

This space was awarded the eco-responsible label in 2022.
