Location: Charlebourg district (La Garenne-Colombes)

Construction of the energy giant's future headquarters was completed in 2024. Located in the Garenne-Colombes district, this innovative and sustainable eco-campus will welcome Engie teams, who will move in between September 2025 and March 2026.

An eco-campus at the heart of an island of biodiversity

First came the closure of the former PSA factory site in 2018, followed by the demolition of buildings in 2019 and then soil remediation and preliminary earthworks in 2020.

Engie's project involves the construction of four buildings with a total surface area of 94,000 m², built according to exemplary eco-design principles and the highest standards of sustainable development.

The 6,300 employees expected to work on the site will enjoy offices with large windows and access to the outdoors via balconies and terraces. The result is a highly attractive working environment with unobstructed views of high-quality landscaping. The campus is integrated into a vast and attractive 1.3-hectare green space. This will provide the neighborhood with more nature and biodiversity than the former site, which was once very mineral-based.

A geothermal network has been installed throughout the site. It supplies the offices with clean, entirely local energy.

Located near the Groues neighborhood and part of the overall renewal of Charlebourg, at the gates of La Défense and not far from the new Nanterre-La-Folie train station, this project, led by real estate operator Nexity, was delivered in 2024. It is also part of the Charlebourg Urban Partnership Project led by Paris La Défense.

Focus on the work carried out on the Campus' public spaces

Since 2023, Paris La Défense has been carrying out redevelopment work on Rue Jules Ferry and Rue Fauvelles around the Engie Campus. The work will be completed in 2025.

The main principles of the redevelopment of these two streets are as follows:

  • Creation of two-way cycle lanes on Rue Jules Ferry and one-way cycle lanes on Rue des Fauvelles.
  • A large square in front of the main entrance to the Engie Campus.
  • Micro-squares with vegetation and planted linear spaces.
  • Wider pedestrian sidewalks.
  • Parking spaces (13 spaces, including 3 for people with reduced mobility and bike racks)
  • More than 70 trees planted
  • A landscaped swale between the sidewalk and the parking spaces to collect rainwater.
