Within the new Groues district, extending the Jardin des Rails, La Forêt des Groues incorporates a diverse range of housing, a shared space, and a nursery.
The urban structure offered to residents is centered around landscaped spaces: pedestrian walkways, shared or private gardens, a communal vegetable garden, and an educational area for the nursery. It prioritizes vegetation over minerals and allows for fluid movement through planted, productive, and edible spaces that serve as reservoirs of biodiversity.
The dwellings are arranged around this large green space with a focus on the right scale, offering a variety of typologies: stacked houses, a “serpentine” building to the west, and a “tiered” building to the north.
The materials—light-colored brick, natural wood cladding and shutters, white plaster, and perforated metal—add real value to a place designed for quality of life.
Extending the sunlight into the apartments, beautiful private terraces, balconies, and gardens overlook the vegetation and the pedestrian path.
The landscape architects have designed a flourishing green setting in harmony with low-carbon architecture.
