The Sisters Towers project is part of the redevelopment of the Carpeaux-Cnit area. Built on abandoned railway and road land located on Route de la Demi-Lune, the complex consists of two towers, one 200 meters high and the other 100 meters high, connected by a deck offering leisure facilities for the hotel. One of the two towers will house 75,000 m² of office space, and the other will house 310 rooms for the Radisson Collection Hotel and Suites. The striking architecture of the towers designed by Christian de Portzamparc and their location very close to the Grande Arche will renew the image of La Défense on a much larger scale than the Carpeaux sector.
Located between Westfield CNIT and the Grande Arche de La Défense, the Sisters Towers project will enable Paris La Défense to redevelop Place Carpeaux, in particular to facilitate access to public transport, including the future CNIT La Défense station. The project will also connect Westfield CNIT and Faubourg de l'Arche with new public spaces and shops, and will facilitate new links between La Défense and Courbevoie. The Sisters Towers will offer a unique combination of exceptional facilities for all audiences: hotel residents, office employees, and outside visitors.
- Terrace: at the top of the Deck, 100 meters above ground level, the terrace connects the office tower and the hotel tower and offers breathtaking views of La Défense.
- Swimming pool, spa, and wellness center: the hotel boasts a unique range of facilities for relaxation and recreation.
- Panoramic restaurant and sky bar
- A fitness center completes the offering, accessible to both hotel guests and office users.
In September 2017, Paris La Défense began partial demolition of the Viaduc du Havre. This site is dedicated to the Sisters towers construction project.
This work was carried out in two phases:
- The first phase involves reinforcing the existing structure by creating two new piers and a new beam under the part of the viaduct that will be retained.
- The second phase involves sawing and removing part of the viaduct in blocks using a crane. The retained part of the viaduct will become the forecourt of the Sisters towers.
