In September 2021, nearly 4,000 VINCI employees moved into L'archipel, the group's headquarters. All business lines are now brought together on the edge of Les Groues, encouraging the development of synergies and multiple connections within L'archipel, but also with the neighborhood's ecosystem.
The two architects, Jean-Paul Viguier and Marc Mimram, sought to create an architectural ensemble that is both diverse and homogeneous, reflecting the group's DNA, in order to “build a city.” One of the project's distinctive features—and added value—lies in its mixed-use approach, as it combines a private building for tertiary use with a public transport facility, the future Nanterre La Folie station.
This complex also demonstrates the VINCI group's strong ambition in terms of urban development, namely to build the city on top of the city. The aim is to recreate urban intensity in this former railway wasteland in order to make the best use of land resources and limit urban sprawl.
Finally, the archipelago is intended to become a showcase for the group's expertise and innovations, exemplary in terms of quality of life at work for its inhabitants and the energy performance of its buildings.
VINCI's global headquarters in figures :
