The Aurore project involved a major renovation and expansion of the existing tower, as well as the demolition and reconstruction of the adjacent building.

Originally built in 1971 by architects Claude Damery, Pierre Vetter, and Gilbert Weil, it stood 110 meters tall with 27 floors. It was renovated in 2022–2023 by architects Jean-Paul Viguier and Nicolas Sisto. This transformation is dramatic in terms of its exterior appearance, featuring a composition of two buildings connected by an interior street (an office tower and a building dedicated to retail and services). It now stands 133 meters tall.

Located on the top floor of the Pavillon de la Tour Aurore, the Vatel School’s experimental restaurant offers refined French cuisine served by students.

The other building, the Pavillon, is designed over eight levels. It offers services including a café/retail space and a brasserie with a rooftop accessible to the public, an auditorium, corporate dining, a business center, and office spaces.

Paris La Défense also took advantage of the tower’s renovation to redevelop all public spaces in the Reflets district, as part of the ongoing redevelopment of Place de l’Iris.

Spanning 37,500 m², the development (tower + pavilion) consists of:

  • A high-rise complex comprising two buildings connected by an interior street;
  • An office and service tower;
  • A building dedicated to retail and services;
  • An architectural design by Jean-Paul Viguier and Nicolas Sisto.
