The Balzac, Newton and Jean-Monnet buildings form a single complex. It is organized around its interior space, with infrastructure levels to the rear that make the work on its volumes more delicate. The facades alternate glazed walls and stone cladding. Marked by an attic storey, they are more finished than the surrounding buildings.

Isolated from the rest, Balzac is the only building with a curved wall.

A word about the architect

Founded by Christian Blanchet, in association with Christian Malterre and Géraldine Rampon, MBA architecture is best known for its residential buildings. The firm is responsible for a 158-unit residential complex in Clermond-Ferrand. With a particular concern for integrating its works into their urban environment, the agency succeeded in erecting the Newton-Balzac-Jean Monnet complex on one of La Défense's complex sites.
