The centerpiece of the Wilson block, the 479-unit Boieldieu residence is one of the largest in the area. Boieldieu bears witness to the architects' concern to compose a harmonious volumetric assembly. In contrast to typical apartment buildings, a metal structure was chosen !

A word about architects

Boieldieu brought together two architects who had never worked together before. Olivier Rabaud had built numerous industrial buildings. In 1960, he joined forces with Roger Gilbert. An architect with a good understanding of housing issues, he contributed to the construction of the Franco-American Memorial Hospital in Saint-Lô in 1956.
