CityLife is located in Nanterre, in the new Cœur de Quartier, a natural extension of the business district. This brand-new district, developed by Paris La Défense, is a dynamic environment combining offices, housing, shops, hotels, infrastructure and leisure facilities. CityLife is a building of workspaces and services, designed by Jean-Paul Viguier and boasting high environmental certifications (HQE Excellent and BREEAM Excellent, Label BBC -64%).

CityLife is a prism made up of three office wings linked by vertical walkways, with a triangular-shaped void running the full height of the building. These three wings, of unequal thickness, give the building a compact floor plan and floor plates designed to be divided between two different occupants. The interior void provides cross-illumination for the office floors, as well as for the connecting staircases between floors, which are located on the façade.

In the lower part of the void and on the first floor roof, a garden contributes to the green atmosphere. The reception, canteen, cafeteria and meeting rooms on the first floor form a sort of showcase for the building. The facades reflect a concern for modernity, with clear glass and aluminum panels giving the building an unmistakable look. Green gaps in the facades add freshness and modernity to the building. CityLife features a double-height first floor (4 meters high) housing all services, including the City hub, a welcome zone providing users and their guests with access to all services within the building.

A word about the architect

Founded in 1992 by Jean-Paul Viguier, the agency was built around a team of associates that has grown over time to form a group of 12 members whose skills and experience enable them to tackle complex projects. Together with Jean-Paul Viguier, they set the agency on a long-term course by undertaking a process of handing down the company (now renamed VIGUIER). The agency has also made a name for itself on the local scene with the completion of a number of high-profile projects in recent years, including the Aurore, Majunga and Archipel towers.
