The Gallieni residence consists of two buildings. Following a refusal by the Puteaux town hall, it was ultimately the association of military families of Seine-et-Oise that carried out its own residence project. Upon completion in September 1957, the L-shaped building comprised 65 apartments: 33 two-bedroom apartments, 26 three-bedroom apartments, and six four-bedroom apartments.

A word about architects

The Gallieni residence was the result of a collaboration between four architects and project managers. Architect Marcel Passini, a graduate of the Rennes Regional School of Architecture, designed a preliminary project for the site on behalf of Toit Populaire.

His work was then taken over by Charles Grosset-Grange, G. Klein, and Marchand, who built this building in accordance with the principles of the modernist movement to which all three belonged.
