Delivered in 2022, and continuing on from the five buildings that make up L'archipel, this real estate project is located at the foot of Paris La Défense Arena, along Boulevard de La Défense. This commercial building houses the headquarters of VINCI Immobilier as well as two other subsidiaries of the VINCI group: VINCI Construction Terrassement and VINCI Energies France Tertiaire Île-de-France.

InDéfense in figures:

  • 10,000 m² of office space
  • 250 m² of retail space
  • 7 floors
  • 180 indoor parking spaces
  • 28 parking spaces for two-wheeled vehicles

InDéfense is thus a direct continuation of La Défense in Nanterre. Its location represents a great opportunity to strengthen synergies with the VINCI group and L'archipel, its headquarters.

Designed by Danish architectural firm 3XN, the InDéfense building is recognizable by its contemporary geometric facades alternating between glass sections and bronze-colored metal panels, its cantilevers, and its varying depths. The main materials chosen are aluminum and glass in different colors and finishes. The facades of the main lobby are entirely glazed to let natural light into the landings on all floors. The lobby is enhanced by a monumental staircase, the building's backbone, which serves all levels from the ground floor to the 7th floor.

A word about the architect

3XN is a Danish architecture firm behind the Nîmes Convention Center, the Quay Quarter Tower in Sydney, and the Holstebro Courthouse. They have won several architectural competitions for the Copenhagen Architects' House, the Ebeltoft Glass Museum, the Danish Embassy in Berlin (1998), and the Muziekgebouw concert hall in Amsterdam. The latter two structures have made a name for themselves on the international architectural scene thanks to their social approach and carefully planned spatial designs.

SRA Architects is a French architecture firm that has completed numerous large-scale projects such as the First Tower, La Samaritaine, the Maison de la Radio, and the Ilot Gaité in Montparnasse. It is behind many projects in La Défense, including the Alto Tower, Carpe Diem, Window, the Légende Tower, and the Areva Tower.
