Designed by Valode & Pistre Architects, the Newside building is located on the border between the municipalities of La Garenne-Colombes and Nanterre. It was inaugurated on May 29, 2013.
The layout of the floors provides abundant natural light and easy communication. At the heart of the project are interior gardens onto which open welcoming spaces, a lobby, meeting rooms, a restaurant, and a cafeteria.
Newside has received triple environmental certification (HQE®, LEED, BREEAM) and BBC labeling.
A word about the architect
Valode et Pistre is an architecture firm founded in 1980 by Denis Valode and Jean Pistre, which has grown over the years. The international architecture, interior design, urban design, and engineering firm now has offices in Paris, Beijing, Dubai, and Moscow. Among the firm's most notable achievements in La Défense are the T1 tower, built in 2008 and now known as the Engie tower, the restructuring of the Opus 12 and Initiale towers, the construction of the Léonard de Vinci university campus, the Saint Gobain tower, and the restructuring of the Grande Arche.
