Located in the Nanterre-Préfecture district, this new building is situated between the Arche en Seine residential building and the La Française office building. It creates a public passageway between Les Terrasses and Rue des Trois Fontanot.
The Vermont project, designed by Calq Architecture for investors La Française REM and ADIM Concepts, contributes to the challenges of strengthening diversity in this sector and enhancing urban and architectural quality in line with the “Arche en Seine” program. It also contributes to the rehabilitation of the existing office park.
The program : offices and housing
The Vermont project was built in two phases:
- The first phase (currently underway) consisted of renovating the building owned by La Française, which faces Les Terrasses.
- The second phase involves the construction of a new office and residential building.
The total program (extension + renovation) provides for 18,000 m² of office space, including 15,000 m² in the renovated Le Vermont building. The project involves the renovation of 3,687 m² of office space and 2,285 m² of residential space (31 units).
A word about architects
Calq Architecture is a Canadian architecture firm founded in 1995 by Jean-François St-Onge and Nicolas Gareau. Since its inception, the firm has worked on a wide variety of projects, including institutional buildings, cultural centers, residential projects, and public spaces, notably in La Défense. In fact, they are also the architects behind Crédit Coopératif, completed in 2012.
