In the heart of Cœur de Quartier, Versus is a development designed by Demathieu Bard Immobilier, with architectural talent from Gaëtan Le Penhuel & Associés and landscape architect Mugo. Versus comprises 69 residential units, a day-care center with around 20 cribs and a 200 m² facility dedicated to personal services. Located in the immediate vicinity of the Nanterre-Université train station, Versus is at the heart of a new lifestyle hub comprising offices, shops, housing and leisure facilities, as an extension to the business district.

Its contemporary, dynamic architecture has been designed to blend in perfectly with the buildings lining the Terrasses. With its wooden facades, balconies and shared garden at the heart of the block, it provides a pleasant and peaceful living environment for its future users.

The Versus residence has also been designed to provide its occupants with a high level of acoustic comfort, thanks to its dual facade system: a ‘protective mantle’ to the north facing the railway tracks, and facades that are largely open to the sun, overlooking the protected, wooded heart of the block. More than just a ‘simple’ housing development, this is an ambitious urban and environmental project, a place to live that offers all the amenities of urban life in a high-quality landscaped environment. The aim of this approach is to offer residents a pleasant and safe living environment in the heart of this fast-growing district of Nanterre.

Cœur de Quartier is an illustration of the development strategy deployed by Paris La Défense in favour of balanced development of the area, between residential, tertiary, commercial and service programmes.

A word about the architect

Gaëtan Le Penhuel architectes & associés is a multidisciplinary practice. The firm does not limit itself to a single type of programme, but works across a wide range of sectors: offices, education, housing, early childhood, the elderly, healthcare, laboratories, culture, macro-lots and urban planning. In particular, it is involved in the construction of the Olympic Village in Saint-Denis and a number of housing and facilities projects in Paris, Lyon, Chambéry, etc.

Demathieu Bard Immobilier was awarded a Pyramide d'Argent at the Ile-de-France regional ceremony of the competition organised by the Fédération des Promoteurs Immobiliers in the Urban Mix category for the Versus development at Paris La Défense.
