Located near Paris Nanterre University in the République district, Ynov Campus was designed by the Suzel Brout agency for SCCV CARENA, YNOV, and Icade, and opened its doors at the start of the 2017 academic year.

This real estate project is part of a major program to transform public spaces under the supervision of Paris La Défense, creating strong links with the Cœur de Quartier operation and the multimodal hub of the Nanterre-Université multimodal station.

The redevelopment of Rue Anatole France in Nanterre (roads, street furniture, and public spaces), which began in 2015, has significantly improved access to the neighborhood, while aiming to create real urban coherence between the Anatole France and Cœur de Quartier sectors and, more broadly, with the Bords de Seine sector.

A new-generation campus and student residence

Ynov and its schools specializing in digital professions complement the current university offerings in Nanterre and Paris La Défense, which already have some 45,000 students.

The campus welcomes students in computer science, design, management, and audiovisual studies who are particularly interested in new technologies and benefit from working together to create synergies and achieve the open-mindedness that companies are looking for today.

A strategic choice by Paris La Défense to boost the dynamism of the district, the establishment of such a campus allows students to train primarily in companies in the Anatole France sector, which is perfectly connected to public transportation thanks to the Nanterre University multimodal hub. The immediate proximity of the La Défense business district is also a real asset for connections with major clients, fostering relationships with the campus and its schools, which are always focused on training technicians and managers who are resolutely oriented towards innovation.

Project architecture

With its contemporary architecture and open design, the program aims to bring life to the neighborhood while providing acoustic comfort to student housing and the campus. The program was also designed to avoid casting shadows on surrounding buildings. It meets the latest environmental standards.

The complex covers 10,400 m²:

  • A 6,900 m² digital campus for 1,800 students
A place of learning, it includes a cafeteria, a reception hall, lecture halls and classrooms, offices reserved for administration, and common areas for student creativity, such as the “digital souk” open to “creative disorder.”
  • The 3,500 m² student residence
Spread over nine floors, it offers 130 fully equipped, Habitat et Environnement-certified apartments ranging from 17 to 25 m². The top floor houses shared apartments, with duplexes featuring three, four, or five bedrooms around a two-level common area. A large forecourt connects the student residence to the campus, featuring planted areas and bicycle storage.

The deed of sale was signed on September 18, 2015. Work began in early February 2016, with delivery scheduled for the start of the 2017 academic year.
