The “Christmas Boxes of Solidarity” campaign is back in Paris La Défense

Want to bring a little comfort to those in need? The La Défense Site Association (AsD) is once again organizing a collection of “Solidarity Christmas Boxes”! Come drop off yours at the Paris La Défense Info Center from November 12, 2026, through January 5, 2026.

The idea is simple: a list of items to gather from home, a shoebox—and that’s all it takes to put together a Christmas gift package for people who are isolated or in need! To find out exactly what to do, follow the guide!

Winter is setting in at Paris La Défense, and with it comes a spirit of solidarity! That’s right—once again this year, the La Défense Site Association is launching its latest edition of the “Solidarity Christmas Boxes” drive! Taking part is easy: just grab a shoebox and put together a mystery gift package! The association recommends including:

• Something tasty and comforting to eat (candy or chocolate);
• Something warm for winter (like mittens or a hat—be sure to specify the size of any clothing items);
• Something for entertainment (like a book or a deck of cards);
• Something for personal hygiene or a beauty product (soap, toothpaste, lotion);
• A kind note or a nice drawing;
• Other gifts that might bring joy (such as a flashlight, a wallet, costume jewelry, a scented candle, movie tickets, etc.).

Put everything in a shoebox and wrap your gift (be sure to keep the lid separate from the rest of the box), add a list of what’s inside, and all that’s left to do is drop it off at the Espace Info in Paris La Défense!

Even if your intentions are good, please do not include perishable food items, medication, money, or alcohol in your boxes.

The idea behind this initiative isn’t to break the bank, but to offer something sweet, simple, and comforting to those who need it most. Your care packages are delivered by volunteers to people facing hardship or isolation during the holiday season. In 2025, the La Défense Site Association distributed more than 760 care packages to people in extreme need at emergency shelters in the Hauts-de-Seine department.
