A (truly) immersive exhibition

To offer you ever more fascinating experiences, the Cité de l'Histoire is constantly innovating and improving with the help of digital tools. For example, the Couloir du Temps (Corridor of Time), revisited with interactive animations, traces the history of the Roman Empire from its foundation to its fall. Visitors can also follow Caesar's conquests in real time thanks to interactive maps. The Ellipse 360° offers a unique documentary show on the life of Caesar, combining 3D animations and sound effects for a spectacular experience.
As you can see, nothing has been left out to ensure you enjoy a unique and memorable experience!

A fun journey

In addition to the richness of this exhibition, its accessibility to all is also part of its charm. Interactive workshops are offered for younger visitors. Introduction to the art of mosaics, discovery of Roman numerals, or even learning military strategies (such as the famous turtle formation, which is not just a legend from Asterix and Obelix!), nothing will be left to chance when it comes to entertaining the younger visitors!
In addition, a large Playmobil model (4 x 3 meters) illustrates Caesar's campaign in Egypt. Finally, an impressive Lego model stands tall, showcasing Roman architecture with replicas of Rome's most famous buildings.
It's sure to capture the imagination of the little ones!

Successes that follow one another, but are not alike

As you can see, the Cité de l'Histoire is constantly evolving to offer you ever richer experiences. Following on from successful exhibitions such as “Victor Hugo, Au temps des Mousquetaires” and “L'Homme Révolutions,” the “César” exhibition invites you to delve into the legacy of this great figure. So don't hesitate!

Families, history buffs, and curious minds alike, this brand-new experience awaits you starting December 19, 2024, at the Cité de l'Histoire!
