Challenge Against Hunger is an event that has been held in La Défense since 2008. This major annual event brings together employees from the business district to unite in the fight against world hunger. By registering, you can participate in the charity run—but that’s not all! Four other sports are offered:
Walking;
Zumba;
Yoga;
CrossFit.
The hardest part is making a choice! Whether you’re running on the plaza or showing off your best dance moves in front of La Grande Arche, this is the perfect opportunity to support access to healthy, daily meals for everyone. Every minute and every kilometer counts, so do your best.
What is Action Against Hunger?
Founded in 1979, Action Against Hunger is a non-governmental organization (NGO) dedicated to international solidarity. Initially, its goal was to address immediate needs in countries affected by geopolitical and climate-related events by responding rapidly to meet the food needs of local populations.
In 2025, 21.2 million people will benefit from Action Against Hunger’s aid. Nutrition is at the heart of the organization’s work, but other issues are also addressed, such as:
- Food security and livelihoods;
- Water, sanitation, and hygiene;
- Mental health and psychosocial support;
- Advocacy;
- Climate;
Research, analysis, and learning.
