A truck bearing the message “Will you dare to experience life at +50°C?” will be parked at the La Défense roundabout. On Wednesday, September 30, and Thursday, October 1, 2026, Climate Sense’s unique vehicle invites you to experience the high temperatures that will affect the Paris region by 2050. To round out the experience, on October 1, 2026, at the IESEG campus, behavioral adaptation expert Christian Clot invites you to a free conference to imagine the future.

Climate Sense is an initiative of the Human Adaptation research institute and was conceived by explorer Christian Clot. As part of Sustainable Development Weeks, the truck—heated to 50°C—is stopping in Paris La Défense to give you a glimpse into the future. To round out the experience, the inventor of this unique vehicle will give a talk to help you better understand human behavior and our ability to adapt to climate change.

Do you dare to experience life at 50°C?

It’s a thought-provoking question featured on this reimagined “heavyweight.” Transported into the future in small groups of 10, you’ll get to experience life in the Paris region in 2050 at 50°C… in the shade! The 30-minute experience invites you to move around this overheated space: solve problems, fill out forms, walk around, engage in physical activity, and discover the impact of heat on your body and mind.

At the end of the experience, you can consult the informational panels to learn more about the effects of global warming on the human body. Various infographics and research findings will be available, so plan on spending about 1 hour for the entire experience.

Lecture by Christian Clot

An explorer, researcher, specialist in behavioral adaptation, and witness to the impact of climate change on the environment—as well as on people—Christian Clot invites you to his lecture. Over the course of one hour, he will recount his experiences around the world (Patagonia, the Darwin Cordillera, and Tierra del Fuego), explain his observations, and share insights into the impact of global warming on the world. His appearance in the IESEG conference room will provide an opportunity to learn more, gain a better understanding of the human body’s signals, and discover how to adapt to these changes.
