Science Festival, Paris-Nanterre University, October 8–10, 2026

From Thursday, October 8, through Saturday, October 10, 2026, Paris-Nanterre University is hosting another edition of the Fête de la Science. While the first two days are dedicated to schoolchildren, Saturday is open to everyone free of charge. Scientists and local residents come together for themed workshops to exchange ideas and gain a better understanding of the world around us.

The goal is to enable the scientific community to connect with students—as well as local residents—during a day of exchange. The workshops are designed to be accessible and interactive, ensuring that science is presented in a way that’s tailored to the audience. If you’d like to learn more, ask for the program!

Science is a broad field that touches on many topics related to current events: programming, archaeology, mathematics, ecology, history, critical thinking, nutrition, psychology, dance, podcasts, and more.

The Science Festival is held annually as part of the “Science with and for Society” initiative.

This event places science at the heart of sharing and dialogue. The goal is to provide the keys to understanding the world around us, living organisms, and different cultures. Topics are presented in layman’s terms to make them accessible to as many people as possible. In this way, experts bridge the gap between the world of research and society.
