“La Défense en couleurs,” a photo contest open to everyone

Paris La Défense is organizing a photo contest to showcase the area and your talent. Once you have submitted your photos on the theme of “La Défense in color,” they will be put to a vote. The selected photos will be exhibited from May 12 to June 14, 2026, on the Place de La Défense.

Do you enjoy capturing the beauty of the business district? Now is the time to send in your best photos on the theme of “La Défense in color” and maybe get the chance to see them displayed on Place de La Défense for a month on 2 m² JC Decaux billboards.

What if you looked at La Défense differently?

As part of our photo contest open to all amateur and professional photographers, we invite you to (re)discover the neighborhood through the theme “La Défense in Color.” Here, glass towers reach for the sky, sunsets set the esplanade ablaze, nature reveals itself, and works of art add an unexpected touch.

You don't need to be a pro—what matters is your perspective. An atmosphere, a colorful detail, a surprising contrast, a moment in life... Show us the colors you see (and that others may not notice).

Conditions for participation

To take part in this unique competition and see your photos displayed in the iconic La Défense square, here are a few dates and details to remember:

  • Photos can be submitted from 9 a.m. on March 9 until March 23, 2026 inclusive. Photos must be submitted in portrait format, with a maximum size of 6 MB, via an online form.

  • The photos will then be put to a vote between April 9 and 23 on the Archie website.
  • The photographers who receive the most votes will be contacted on April 24 to confirm their participation in the exhibition.
  • The 26 selected photos will then be exhibited for one month, from May 12 to June 14, 2026, on Place de La Défense on 13 2m2 JC Decaux panels.
