On Terrasse 12, the Les Champs de l'Arche program comprises 166 studio to 5-room apartments, including 70 social housing units (ICF La Sablière). It was delivered in June 2013. Located at the foot of the Nanterre-Préfecture RER station, the Champs de l'Arche building also houses a post office, a bakery, a dry cleaner, a restaurant and shops on the first floor, covering an area of almost 1,178 m².

The developer Promaffine / Crédit Agricole Immobilier was entrusted with its construction. Architect Fabrice Dusapin designed a project with a play of volumes and multiple openings from the living rooms of the apartments, and perspectives optimizing the contribution of light.

The construction of this building was strongly constrained by the complex geography of a site marked by interlacing underground infrastructures, with the A14 freeway and the RER A suburban train line.

The belvedere-shaped Terrasse 12, 6 meters above the ground level of Place Nelson Mandela, will house a program of commercial premises and the La Terrasse cultural space.

The project completes the sequence of the first Terrasses and turns towards the Terrasses de l'Université, providing a transition between the monumentality of the Préfecture des Hauts-de-Seine and the more domestic scale of the Provinces Françaises district.

Fabrice Dusapin is a French architect and graduate of the École Nationale Supérieure d'Architecture de Paris-Belleville. He founded the Dusapin Leclercq agency in 1996 with his partner, Marc Leclercq. Since its creation, the agency has worked on numerous prestigious projects in France and abroad, including the renovation of the Palais de Tokyo in Paris, the transformation of the Hôtel-Dieu in Lyon, and the design of several university campuses and office buildings.
