The Skylight project developed by Nexity Résidentiel is located in the municipality of Puteaux, on the municipal border with Nanterre, and is part of the Jardins de l'Arche district developed by Paris La Défense.

Designed by the architectural firm Louis Paillard, Skylight will contribute to the renewal of Paris La Défense, particularly through its architectural innovation and the materials used for its facades: steel, annealed mirror, etc. At its summit, a luminous, dynamic, and colorful cap is animated in coordination with the public spaces of the Jardins de l'Arche.

The construction of a mixed-use residential building has created a new urban dynamic on this site with the arrival of students and young families. Due to its height (18 stories) and location, this building has been one of the key elements of the neighborhood, which has been known for its service sector activity.

The 18-story building includes:

  • a 168-room student residence, with Gecina as the investor;
  • a program of 113 housing units, exclusively studios and one-bedroom apartments;
  • shops;
  • leisure areas;
  • private school

This program meets the RT 2012 EFFINERGIE + environmental criteria and the Habitat et Environnement Profil A standard.

The deed of sale for the housing program was signed on January 30, 2015, and construction began in 2015. The first residents moved in during the third quarter of 2017.

A word about the architect

After studying furniture design at the École Boulle, Louis Paillard graduated with a degree in architecture in 1982. He opened his Parisian agency in 2003 with the aim of offering unique and highly contextual projects.

In 2010, he was nominated for the Équerre d'Argent award for his project for 119 housing units with a media library in the Seguin ZAC in Boulogne-Billancourt. Specializing in residential buildings, the fruit of “human architecture,” he has completed various projects in Paris and its region, as well as in Toulouse.

Following a competition held in 2012, he won the Skylight project.
