An exceptional international career
Céline Dion began her career in Quebec at just twelve years old. Thanks to René Angélil, her manager and future husband, she competed in the Eurovision Song Contest and won the competition for Switzerland in 1988 with the song “Ne partez pas sans moi.” European audiences, particularly in France, were introduced to the artist, whose international career took off in the early 1990s.
Her collaboration with Jean-Jacques Goldman gave rise to major albums such as “D’eux”—the best-selling French-language album in history—“S’il suffisait d’aimer,” and “Une fille et quatre types.” Over the years, she has performed numerous memorable duets with Garou, Barbra Streisand, Andrea Bocelli, and Stevie Wonder.
On the English-language side, her songs have enjoyed worldwide success, starting with “My Heart Will Go On,” the theme song from the film Titanic, as well as “I’m Alive,” “A New Day Has Come,” “Falling Into You,” and “Let’s Talk About Love.” A global icon, she has gone on to perform international tours, hold residencies in Las Vegas, and break sales records.
