Paris La Défense Arena is preparing to host one of the biggest sporting tournaments of the year: the French Handball Tournament. This friendly event brings together Europe's top teams for an exciting event!

A unique sporting event

This is a first for the legendary Paris La Défense Arena: the French Handball Tournament will be held there. This is the very first edition of this sporting event, which is strategically scheduled to take place just a few days before the start of the EHF Euro (January 15 to February 1, 2026) in Norway. On this occasion, international teams and legends of the sport will compete in friendly matches.

A comprehensive program

The event will kick off on Friday, January 9, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. with a first match between Iceland and Slovenia, followed by Les Bleus taking on Austria at 9 p.m. These two matches will be followed by a special concert.

The second part of the event will take place on Sunday, January 11, 2026, starting at 2:30 p.m. with the final between the two winning teams from the previous Friday. This match will be followed by a Hall of Fame induction ceremony attended by the players, as well as former champions and handball legends.

An ultra VIP experience

For those who wish, Paris La Défense Arena also offers a premium experience for a turnkey event. Upon arrival, VIP access allows guests to reach their seats without waiting, directly from a parking space located a stone's throw from the entrance. Once in the VIP lounge, a cocktail reception, prepared by caterer Lenôtre, is offered. A varied selection of drinks is available throughout the event.
