Paris La Défense celebrates Nature Day on May 20, 21, and 23, 2026
Paris La Défense is joining the national Fête de la Nature initiative to offer workshops in its community gardens. On Wednesday, May 20, Thursday, May 21, and Saturday, May 23, 2026, at various times, you can participate in themed gardening activities. These workshops are free and open to everyone, with a limit of 15 people per workshop, for ages 5 and up.
Three days dedicated to raising awareness, learning, and observing nature and its biodiversity are being organized in the business district. Sign up for free for one of the time slots and set out to explore the green spaces of Paris La Défense.
Activities for all ages
These hands-on, fun workshops aim to highlight the green spaces and community gardens of Paris La Défense. These events give as many people as possible the opportunity to learn more about plant conservation, care, and nutrition, as well as about composting and the biodiversity found in the area.
The first event will take place on Wednesday, May 20, in the Jardin Suspendu, and is titled “Hands in the Soil.” To participate, you must reserve a spot in one of the two available workshops:
- 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM: seed bombs
- 3:30 PM – 5:00 PM: repotting a plant

A national event
Since 2007, the Fête de la Nature has become the premier event for celebrating biodiversity and the richness of nature. Across France, in both cities and rural areas, thousands of free activities are offered, such as nature walks, wildlife observation sessions, performances, and workshops… This is a unique opportunity to learn more about nature and our environment, to raise awareness of environmental causes and the threats facing biodiversity, and to discover how simple actions can have a significant impact. This 20th edition will take place, as it does every year, during the fourth week of May, from May 20 to 25, 2026.
