A day dedicated to learning
Have you ever done an apprenticeship where you had the opportunity to learn more about life-saving techniques for the first time? The Civil Protection Agency is organizing the perfect event to brush up on your skills. The key words that will punctuate the 20-minute workshop are: alert, massage, and defibrillate. This major solidarity event allows you to learn the techniques that make a difference during your lunch break or between appointments.
“Every minute counts when saving a life.”
Every year in France, there are more than 50,000 cardiac arrests, and 7 out of 10 occur in the presence of a witness. However, few people know how to respond in these situations, where every minute counts. Because yes, every minute without CPR during a cardiac arrest reduces the chance of survival by 10%.
And to go further...
This awareness-raising event is part of a broader initiative. Following these training sessions, the Paris Civil Protection Agency is organizing a major charity race called Cardio Challenge Heroes. The race will take place in the Bois de Vincennes on November 23. Purchasing a race number gives you free access to all the training courses offered by the Civil Protection Service throughout the year, but also helps to raise funds that will be reinvested in training citizen rescuers who will save even more lives.
