Consultation on cycling facilities on the Pont de Neuilly

The town of Neuilly-sur-Seine is organising a consultation on the redevelopment of pedestrian and cycling facilities on the Pont de Neuilly. A public meeting will be held at Paris La Défense to provide more information about the project.

The cycle lanes installed during the Covid period will be made permanent to promote soft mobility and improve pedestrian access.

Developments to promote soft mobility

In response to the increase in the number of cyclists using the Pont de Neuilly every day and to make the developments installed during Covid, known as ‘Coronapiste’, permanent, the towns of Neuilly-sur-Seine, Puteaux and Courbevoie, with the support of the French government and RTE, are launching work on the bridge.

Work on the north side

The work on the north side of the bridge, between Neuilly and Courbevoie, will enable:

  • The creation of a permanent, secure two-way cycle path on the coronapiste
  • Create a guardrail and a 50 cm elevation to protect cyclists from traffic on the RN 13
  • Modernise the lighting with column masts and a luminous guardrail
  • Install a bicycle parking area at the access to the Île du Pont
  • Renovate the pavement for pedestrians

Work on the south side

Work on the south side of the bridge, between Neuilly and Puteaux, involves:

  • Creating a two-way cycle lane on the pavement
  • Securing the cycle lane with a guardrail to protect it from the RN13
  • Modernising public lighting with an illuminated guardrail
  • Refurbishment of the pavement;
  • And the installation of a bicycle parking area at the top of the stairs leading to the sports complex and the Île du Pont green space.
