A festival at the intersection of cinema, arts, and science
For 15 years, the Atmosphères Festival has offered a free, multidisciplinary program open to all, combining cinema, visual arts, performances, and conferences. This unique event explores the challenges of sustainable development through around 20 new films each year, immersive exhibitions, fun workshops, and meetings with committed artists and scientists! Nearly 20,000 visitors attend each year, drawn by this original combination of culture and science, which seeks to inspire, raise awareness, and mobilize audiences of all ages around a more responsible and united future.
A socially conscious event
Certified REEVE Level 2 “eco-responsible event” and Fête de la Science, the festival implements a concrete environmental approach: carbon footprint assessment, zero waste management, responsible purchasing, sustainable transport, upcycling, etc. It also promotes social inclusion by encouraging the professional integration of young people and people with disabilities, as well as diversity and gender equality within its teams. As a partner of Agenda 2030 and European Sustainable Development Week, Atmosphères brings together public actors, associations, and citizens to accelerate the ecological and solidarity-based transition.
A lasting impact
More than just an event, the Atmosphères Festival has a real impact on its audiences. According to a recent study, 83% of visitors say they have gained new knowledge about environmental and social issues, while 74% say they are more aware of sustainable development. Two out of three people changed their daily habits after participating, and 95% talk about it with those around them, helping to spread ideas and solutions. With its school activities, short film competitions, and workshops, the festival is also actively preparing the future for younger generations!
