Michelet public spaces: progress report
Until the first quarter of 2026
The Michelet district continues its transformation: reconfiguration of access roads, new pathways and landscaping are underway. Ultimately, they will facilitate pedestrian circulation and improve user comfort.
At present: Ongoing work on the monumental staircase and creation of the République connector (elevators).
Summer 2025: Continuation of structural work on the Cours Michelet (reinforcement, waterproofing, networks, paving).
- September 2025: Massive paving, filling of pits, refurbishment of Michelet elevators 1 and 4
- Winter 2025-2026: planting of trees and vegetation
- Early 2026: creation of a new “Michelet 2 connector” walkway between Cours Michelet and Esplanade de La Défense.
Reopening of the metro access is scheduled for October 2025.
Target: delivery of the area around The Link tower by the end of 2025 and completion of the Cours Michelet and the lower forecourt in the 1st quarter of 2026.
An operation managed by Paris La Défense with TVK, Atelier Roberta, SETEC TPI, ON, Zefco, RRA, Biotope, with the involvement of the following companies: Eiffage, Colas, Centralpose, Quesnot Paysage, Citeos, Otis.
