Guided tour for Heritage Days on September 21, 2025

La Défense
The 21 september 2025

Paris La Défense invites you to explore the area on a free guided tour on Sunday, September 21, 2025! Accompanied by a guide, participants will discover the bold architecture of the business district, its unique urban planning, and a selection of monumental works of art, from Calder to Miró, César to Takis.

Founded in 1958 and famous for being the economic heart of the Île-de-France region, discover Paris La Défense on an exceptional tour!

A neighborhood with a grid-like urban layout separating different functions, Paris La Défense is an entirely pedestrian area combining modern, sometimes brutalist architecture with an open-air museum of contemporary art and numerous green spaces.
During this 90-minute tour, you will discover a unique architectural heritage of high-rise buildings, with towers over 240 meters high designed by leading French and international names such as Jean Nouvel, Christian de Portzamparc, and Ieoh Ming Pei, architect of the Louvre Pyramid. The history of La Grande Arche, the symbol of the business district that has been the subject of so much discussion, will be recounted during the tour.
All these discoveries will be punctuated by the presentation of a selection of 60 monumental works by international contemporary artists (Calder, Miró, César, etc.).

Between urban innovation and artistic creation, this immersion in the French Manhattan will reveal a living history of architecture and contemporary art in the heart of Greater Paris.
