Sanofi will move into the renovated CB3 building in Paris La Défense
On Wednesday, October 29, 2025, Sanofi announced that its employees would be moving into the CB3 building, which is currently undergoing renovation. This is a strong signal for the business district, demonstrating its central place in the health and innovation ecosystem.
By 2027, biopharmaceutical giant Sanofi will have moved its French headquarters to Paris La Défense. This iconic real estate project centered around the CB3 building combines environmental performance, economic dynamism, and regional roots.
An iconic asset undergoing transformation
With this new 35,000 m² building spread over seven floors, Paris La Défense is hosting a major project that illustrates the successful conversion of a commercial asset into a headquarters that matches Sanofi's ambitions. Developed by WO2 for the ICAWOOD fund, Sanofi's new headquarters will offer its 2,700 employees high-quality, open and collaborative workspaces, with catering facilities, an auditorium and integrated services.
This latest-generation building places energy efficiency at the heart of its design. The project aims to reduce emissions by 45% over the entire life cycle and to use low-carbon materials in its construction. To meet Sanofi's ambitions, the project draws on a pool of French companies, including GCC, Goyer, and the architectural firm 2/3/4. This real estate transformation is part of the strategy to renew the commercial real estate stock in Paris La Défense, which aims to combine economic attractiveness with environmental excellence.
A strong signal for the region's healthcare sector
Sanofi's arrival in Paris La Défense will strengthen the presence of the healthcare, science, and innovation sector in the region. With more than 100 active partnerships in research, biotech, and universities, the group plans to open its headquarters to players in the healthcare ecosystem to stimulate synergies and exchanges.
In collaboration with Paris La Défense and local stakeholders, Sanofi is planning various initiatives such as prevention campaigns, public events, and educational initiatives, for example during the Fête de la Science (Science Festival) or Industry Week, to integrate health and science into the city.
This development illustrates Paris La Défense's ability to support major economic and societal changes. Through this project, the district is reaffirming its position as a center of excellence, a driver of urban transformation, and a key player in France's reindustrialization in sectors of the future.
