Construction Work in the La Défense Roundabout Area

Paris La Défense will carry out road reinforcement work in the La Défense Roundabout area during the summer, from July 15 to August 19, 2026.

These projects will affect the following roads:

• Avenue Gambetta, in the Courbevoie → Puteaux direction;
• Avenue du Général de Gaulle, in the Puteaux → Courbevoie direction.

The work will take place near the exit of the bus terminal at the La Défense Roundabout and will include:

• complete resurfacing of the road structure;
• waterproofing work on the utility tunnel.

Construction Schedule

Construction will take place:

• from Wednesday, July 15, through Wednesday, August 19, 2026, inclusive;
• onstruction hours: 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. (detour in effect continuously throughout the construction period).

Traffic Conditions

Throughout the construction period:

• a detour route will be set up to allow drivers to bypass the construction zone (see map below);
• the work will be phased to maintain traffic conditions as much as possible. However, this will require a change to the current two-way traffic configuration on Avenue du Général de Gaulle, as part of the work being carried out by the Société des Grands Projets.

As a result, drivers will not be able to exit the La Défense Roundabout toward Avenue Jean Moulin or the Rose de Cherbourg. A detour will be set up via Avenue de la Division Leclerc.

The contractor hired by Paris La Défense will do everything possible to maintain access to RATP facilities throughout the duration of the construction project.
