La Défense Roundabout: Construction in October 2026

Paris La Défense is continuing road reinforcement work in the La Défense Roundabout area.

This project will affect the following section: La Défense Roundabout, in the direction of Courbevoie to Puteaux

The work will take place at the exit toward the D9A in the direction of La Rose de Cherbourg, between the central island and the bus terminal exit, and will involve a complete overhaul of the road structure.

Construction Schedule

Work is scheduled for:

• October 26, 2026, through October 30, 2026
• Work hours: 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. (detours in effect continuously throughout the duration of the work).

Traffic Conditions

Throughout the duration of the work:

• A detour route will be set up to allow motorists to bypass the construction zone (see map below);
• The phased approach to the work will help maintain traffic flow via the detour, though conditions will remain very difficult.

Consequently, the exit from the La Défense roundabout toward La Rose de Cherbourg will be closed to traffic for the duration of the work.
Drivers are advised to take the detour via Avenue Jean Moulin.

The contractor hired by Paris La Défense will do everything possible to maintain access to RATP facilities throughout the duration of the construction project.
