Nirvana: The Latest Progress on the Construction Site

From April to July 2026

As part of the restructuring and renovation project for the NIRVANA building located at 18-22 rue du Capitaine Guynemer, the entire project team would like to provide you with an update on the work that has been carried out on-site over the past two months.

Summary of Work Completed (April–May 2026)

The past two months have been marked by a critical phase of consolidation, assembly, and completion of the heavy structural elements. The following key operations were successfully carried out:

  • Complete completion of demolition work: The final residual demolition work has been completed, particularly in the strategic area located along the circular boulevard, where earthwork was taking place.
  • Significant progress on the structural work: Our teams focused their efforts on the building’s main structure to complete the building’s skeleton and reinforce all extension areas.
  • Preparation of the facades: The essential preparatory work required for the future installation of the new facades has been launched and successfully implemented.

Exterior Transformation: Launch of the Facades (June–July 2026)

In accordance with our technical roadmap, the construction project has entered its final phase. Our teams have begun installing the new facade structures (to replace the old cladding that was removed), marking the start of the building’s architectural finishing.

Throughout the course of this work, we have ensured strict compliance with our environmental and neighborhood commitments to minimize disturbances:

  • Dust control at the source: In response to dust concerns during the final demolition phases, we expanded the use of misting technologies. The demolition crusher was equipped with a misting system mounted directly on its arm to capture particles as soon as they are generated. In addition, mobile mist cannons created a permanent protective curtain, and vacuum cleaning was performed as work progressed.
  • Compliance with noise and scheduling guidelines: Site hours (7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on weekdays and 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturdays) were strictly adhered to. Noisy activities were strictly limited to the authorized time slots (8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. on Saturdays), with priority given to wet sawing and hydraulic grapples.
  • Traffic control: Our traffic control officer continuously ensured the safe flow of traffic near Segoffin Street and Capitaine Guynemer Street.
  • During the heat waves that have been observed, and in accordance with the prefectural order currently in effect, work schedules were adjusted, and noisy construction work was permitted before 8:00 a.m. As this situation may recur between now and the end of September, we will take care to limit noisy work before 8:00 a.m., even though the prefectural order permits it on an exceptional basis during heat waves.
