The Park: Upcoming Construction Projects

Construction at the Parse site continues with the start of work near the Lightwell and Acacia towers and on Moretti Square and the Moretti Waterfall at the beginning of the school year—a new major milestone in the project that marks the launch of the central phase.

A phased construction project: To ensure greater efficiency and clarity, the project is organized into several work zones.

• To the west, work is focused on several sectors where construction is well underway. The central axis is expected to open to the public in early 2027, following a winter dedicated to landscaping.
• To the east, work that began in January 2026 across several sectors is also continuing. The northern traffic route connecting the CB21 Tower to the Moretti Chimney is expected to open to the public by November 2026 at the latest.
• In the center, the first construction zones will become visible as early as September along the Lightwell Tower and will gradually allow for structural reinforcements and pavement replacements necessary for the park’s transformation.

This phased approach enables coordinated progress while maintaining park uses and pedestrian and vehicle traffic as much as possible.

Work will begin in mid-October 2026 and continue through mid-April 2027.

The work will consist of:

• Setting up and preparing the job site,
• Removing existing furniture and equipment,
• Removing existing floor coverings and fixtures,
• Cleaning out the area and installing a new waterproofing system,
• Installation of the drainage layer and lightweight backfill,
• Routing and connecting utility lines,
• Installation of new surface materials,
• Installation of the irrigation system,
• Substrates and planting,
• Installation of outdoor furniture, including the children’s playground.

The work in the Moretti Central and Central West sectors consists of:

• Setting up and preparing the construction site,
• Removing existing furniture,
• Removing existing floor coverings and fixtures,
• Cleaning out the area and installing new waterproofing,
• Installation of the drainage layer and lightweight backfill,
• Routing and connecting utility lines,
• Construction of the recreational pool,
• Installation of new surfacing,
• Installation of the irrigation system,
• Substrates and planting,
• Installation of new street furniture.

Work in the Portique and Moretti Waterfall areas consists of:

• Setting up and preparing the construction site,
• Removal of existing paving and fixtures,
• Demolition of structures and reinforcement,
• Cleaning out and installation of a new waterproofing membrane,
• Construction of low walls and planters,
• Installation of the drainage layer and lightweight backfill,
• Routing and connecting utility lines,
• Laying new surfacing,
• Installing the irrigation system,
• Substrates and plantings,
• Installing new street furniture.

Work in the Lightwell and Acacia areas consists of:

• Setting up and preparing the job site,
• Removing existing surfacing and fixtures,
• Laying new surfacing.
