Line 15 West: Construction by the Société des Grands Projets is progressing in Nanterre

The future Nanterre-La-Folie station, located at the corner of the Célestin Hébert Bridge and Rue de la Garenne, will support the development of the Groues neighborhood. It will make it easier to travel to major nearby attractions, such as the Paris La Défense Arena and the Terrasses de l’Arche district.

The station will offer a convenient connection to the RER E line, directly accessible from the platforms via an underground passage. The RER A line, meanwhile, will be a less than 5-minute walk away. The station will be bright and welcoming, with large glass facades that let in plenty of natural light.

Update on the work

Following a preparatory phase that began in 2023, construction of the future station began in 2024. Since the summer of 2025, work has continued with the excavation of the station and the construction of the underground levels. The excavated soil is gradually being removed to make way for the development of the station’s future spaces. In December 2025, the first tunnel boring machine began operations from Nanterre-La-Folie to excavate the tunnel for the future metro line toward Courbevoie. A second tunnel boring machine was christened in the spring of 2026 in Sèvres. It will excavate another section of the tunnel toward Rueil-Suresnes.
