Paris La Défense is transforming as Christmas approaches! From November 12, 2026 to January 14, 2027, the whole neighborhood is putting on its coat of lights, chalets, ice and entertainment for 64 days of celebrations! Are you ready for the magic of Christmas?
Christmas is still as big this year in Paris La Défense, you just have to see the beautiful programming that awaits only you! A quick overview.
A market full of new products...
This year, the Christmas market is evolving! The 15,000 m2 are divided into two distinct worlds: the traditional market and the Summit, an event space.
Poetry and festivities in the same market
In the traditional market, you will find artisanal chalets, culinary specialties that smell of Christmas, rides that will excite the youngest, magical wanderings, the house of Father and Mother Christmas, the France Montagne chalet with a curling track and two ski simulators, as well as the solidarity chalet to meet the various associations.
As you can see, the traditional market is a concentrate of the holiday spirit!
Opposite, on the Place de la Défense side, you can discover Le Sommet.
This event space offers a large rink of 500 m2 of real ice, and a masterful Christmas tree in its center. Isn’t this the ideal activity (and above all, the most typical) to do during the Christmas period? To sink a little more into the folklore of the end-of-year holidays, every Wednesday, the hockey club of Meudon will propose initiations to hockey which address as much to the curious as to the sportsmen in the heart. Stroll, take a good sandwich with raclette, a glass of mulled wine... and go to the ice rink to slide in this unique setting!
But that’s not all! Le Sommet is also home to a large stage ideal for daily musical entertainment, a 360°bar, and a new restaurant that offers the greatest French specialties: the Comptoir Auvergnat.
If you are looking for a place to share the spirit of celebration for an after-work event, with family or friends, it’s at the Summit that it happens!
Dates not to be missed
For this new edition, the programming begins on the hats of Christmas with the inauguration evening which will take place on Friday 13 November and the concert of Chimène Badi. Accompanied on stage by a gospel group, you can dance to the greatest hits of the singer in a magical setting! Is there a better way to start the festivities?
The youngest also have the right to their festive moment. On Wednesday, January 23, the children’s boom will welcome the youngest for a moment of dance and sharing!
Finally, on Saturday, January 2, 2027, we welcome the New Year as it should be, with the closing night of the Paris La Défense Christmas market and its DJ set!

Lights in your eyes
As every year, Paris La Défense shines during the Christmas holidays! The neighborhood puts on its most beautiful outfit of lights from November 12, 2026 to January 14, 2027 and invites you to take part in a dreamlike journey as you stroll. And if you thought you already knew them, know that small new things are appearing! The Valmy district is home to twice as many butterflies, and the teddy bear on Place des Saisons no longer skis this year... but let’s not lift the veil on all the surprises to be found very quickly in the neighborhood.
We tell you, this is an opportunity not to be missed to discover the territory in a magical setting!
To complete this lighting experience, two types of free visits are offered during the months of November and December 2026:
- if you prefer to live a waking dream, we advise you to go on an adventure with the lost of the forest by following the path of the illuminations. This immersive and interactive show takes you to meet magical creatures lost in our world and who seek only one thing: go home;
- if you prefer to discover the illuminations from a unique point of view, then climb to the top of the Legend tower! From up there, you can enjoy the best panorama on the decorated axis of La Défense, from La Grande Arche to the esplanade of La Défense through the Christmas market.

A Christmas for everyone
What would Christmas be like in Paris La Défense without solidarity? As you know, every year, the Espace Info Paris La Défense is just waiting for you to offer a little magic to people in precarious situations.
From November 12, 2026 to January 5, 2027, you will have the opportunity to contribute by participating in the Solidarity Boxes operation organized by the La Défense Site Association, or that of the Green Christmas Fathers of the Popular Relief of the Hauts-de-Seine.

First of all, you can find, everywhere in the market, collection points for reusable cups. By putting your cup in the device, you will have the choice between collecting your deposit or donating it to the partner associations of the event. A doubly virtuous system!

Finally, on the lighting side of the neighborhood, energy is optimized! All the lighting is designed from 100% low consumption LED and the ignition times are adjustable to make energy savings.
